Congressman Mark Green’s Office Accepting Applications for Military Service Academies

Congressman Mark Green’s office encouraged constituents in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District to submit applications for nominations to United States Military Service academies.

Federal lawmakers are allowed to nominate individuals to four of the five military academies: the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA).

“As a cadet on the Plain at West Point, I swore an oath to protect and defend our nation. That oath is what drives me. Service Academies create leaders for life, and it is my honor to provide nominations for Tennessee’s best and brightest young leaders,” Green said in a statement.

According to his office, the applications are due by October 28, 2022. Information can be found here. In order to submit the application, students should either mail the application or send the materials electronically:

The Tennessee congressman attended the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York. Following his education, Green served in the military as a rifle platoon leader, scout platoon leader, and battalion personnel officer. According to his website, Green has been awarded “the Bronze Star, The Air Medal, The Air Medal with “V” device for valor under heavy enemy fire, and numerous other medals for service.”

Since joining Congress, Green has placed an emphasis on military-related policies. He serves on the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Committee on Armed Services. Additionally, he is a member of the Military Family Caucus, Military Veterans Caucus, Congressional Army Caucus, and Special Operations Forces Caucus.

Students outside the 7th Congressional District can submit an application to their member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

My son thought about taking a commission in the United States Navy after college. However, with the mandated experimental mRNA injections, I have suggested that he look elsewhere, if they were not to accept his religious exemption. It’s sad to see that liberty is no longer liberty in ‘the land of liberty.’ Proverbs teaches that the debtor is slave to the lender. We are watching it right now.

Really ?? Trying to fill the huge gaps left by all of the COVID jab mandate firings, I suppose. BTW Dr. Green, why aren’t you advocating for these men and women who have been and are about to be kicked out of the military for resisting the tyranny of the (woke) central government instead of trying to get more to fall into the trap?

Joining your local militia is much more patriotic and noble than becoming a member of the globalist tranny force.

All the academies have become left wing propaganda centers just like every other major university. Producing more woke officers won’t help.
